Whilst on retreat up at Mount Buller Summer School I was introduced to Liquid Radiance in Helen Godden’s class. Liquid Radiance has interesting properties which make it very versatile for decorating fabrics and other items. In Helen’s class we painted with it onto calico. I was really happy with the effect that I achieved. I loved the vibrancy of the colours and the ease with which you can apply it. As an added bonus, Liquid Radiance does not require copius amounts of water like some other products, it is non toxic and Australian made.

On our return home I spent a little time with the kids seeing what else I could do with it. I started out with some calico and painted book bags. Bryson painted his. Then we got some white socks of Bryson’s and just with a squirt bottle he painted them. He has worn them for 2 days straight not even wanting to take them off for bed! Because of it’s non-toxic properties the kids can paint with it and it cleans up easily. I dyed/painted 2 half metre pieces of PFD poplin. They booth look great, the texturing and the vibrancy of the colours is great and all I had to do was heat set with the iron. Genesis Creations make this wonderful product in Queensland.
